Here’s a look at a quick poster I designed for THE TEXT. A submission for the “Comedy Poster for Amazon Studios” Talenthouse contest. In the end, I didn’t win…but it was a ton of fun and I’m really happy with the way it came together. Look for it in it’s permanent home under my portfolio section sometime soon.

I recently stumbled onto a FearNet post covering some of their favorite Illustrated Horror film posters, and while their list is solid, I feel like it left off a few of my all-time favorites. So, this list was born. Plus, I’m bored with top ten lists, so this one goes to 11!

Whipped up this fun little poster after reading this Buzzfeed blog post, which included a “Dogman” holding an ax, among a list of 60 stock images said to be completely unusable. I respectively disagreed and this poster concept was born.

Inspired by Fake Criterions and pulled from Doomed to Be Awesome’s Top Ten Awesome Horror Films, here are Fake Criterion Collection Covers for POLTERGEIST, ALIEN, HELLRAISER, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and THE DESCENT (#6-10 on the list.) My goal is to design the entire top ten list over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for 1-5 over on my Tumblr.

Anyone who knows me, can attest to the fact that I’m a huge Coen brothers fan. I’ve been man-crushing on Joel & Ethan for as far back as I can remember. I even wrote a paper deconstructing the sound design in Barton Fink for a class in Film School….super cool, right? Besides being amazing filmmakers, the Coens usually dazzle us with beautiful key art as well. So I decided to head back into the archives a bit and come up with my top 10 favorite Coen films (using the films’ one sheets, of course).
