Overview

Gary E. Irwin, GI Creative I’m a designer trapped in a filmmaker’s body; or is it a filmmaker trapped in a designer’s body? Either way, I like both those things. And I like cats.

I have a diverse background and a variety of skill sets that make me ideally suited to take on an array of projects. Over my ten years of experience in print, web and video I have cultivated a style that is minimal in design but high in impact. I bring to the table creative intuition and I pride myself on continuing to surpass my clients’ expectations. I maintain a reputation as a neurotic perfectionist, and I’m not satisfied until I’ve thrown everything I have at a project. Taking a chance on a new collaborator can be risky, but my history speaks for itself and if given a shot, I will not disappoint.

Backstory

My interest in the visual arts landed me at the University of the Arts. After college, I spent many years working in the film and video industry, and began dabbling in web and graphic design seven years ago. Two years at the Philadelphia film production company, Get-Kinetic, followed by three years at 9.14 Pictures put me in positions where I handled all of the design work for the companies: designing websites, fundraising packets, film graphics, marketing campaigns and anything else that was needed. Two years ago, I went out on my own and established the multimedia company, GI Creative. In addition to freelancing for a number of design boutiques, I specialize in creating WordPress sites for companies small and large, designing posters and marketing materials for film, and producing and editing promotional and informational videos.
